LC341A Datasheet DESCRIPTION The L7900AC series of three-terminal ne.c~at'v,e regulators is available in T0-220 and D'PAK packages and several fixed output voltages. These regulators can provide local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation; furthermore, having the same voltage option as the L7800A positive standard series, they are particularly suited for split power supplies. In addition, the -5.2V is also available for ECL system. If adequate heat sinking is provided, they can deliver over l.5A output current. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents. LC341A Price
LC341A on stock A smaller value of L results in higher current ripple and output voltage ripple as well as greater core losses. Larger values of L decrease the ripple, but require finding physi- cally larger inductors since maximum DC current rating decreases significantly as inductance increases within inductor product types. Generally, by choosing the de- sired ripple current based on the maximum output cur- rent, the inductorvalue can be calculated from the previous equation. It is typical to choose the inductor so that the ripple current is about 40% of the maximum output (1) Built-in reset signal generating function (Available 7 series ofreset detection voltage) (2) Low power-loss (Dropout voltage: MAX. 1.2V at Io=O.lA) (3) Surface mount type package (Equivalent to SC-63) (4) High-precision output type (Output voltage precision: +3.0%) (5) Overcurrent, overheat protection functions
