Pin 15 Write Gate (WG): This input accepts a mode control signal from the controller for the encoder. It permits the writ- ing of header and data to the disk when at a logical high level and prohibits writing when at a logical low level. There are no set-up or hold timing requirements for the enabling or disabling of WRITE GATE. Pin 16 Write Clock (WCLK): This input accepts the NRZ data rate (1 F) clock signal from the controller and is used to strobe the NRZ INPUT data into the ENDEC. This signal must be the READ/REFERENCE CLOCK echoed by the controller. |
