RO-0924S on stock The VCA2613 includes a built-in reference, common to both channels, to supply a regulated voltage for critical areas of the circuit. This reduces the susceptibility to power supply variation, ripple, and noise. In addition, separate power supply and ground connections are provided for each chan- nel and for the reference circuitry, further reducing interchannel cross-talk. REFERENCE On-Chip Reference The internal reference is an active bandgap circuit which is equivalent to a 25V zener diode with a very low slope impedance (Fig 7) An external resistor (RHEF) should be connected between pins 12 and 18 to bias up the on-chip reference. whilst a stabilising/decoupling capacitor (CnEF) is required between pins 12 and 9 To use the internal raference VREF OUT (pin 12) is connected to VREF IN tpin 10) The recommended refarance resistor of 390(1 will supply a nominal reference current of 6 4mA which is sufficient to drive the reference inputs of up to fiva ZN525s Where several ZN525s are used in a system this useful feature can save up to four resistors and capacitors as well as reducing power consumption and giving excellent gain tracking |
