Hybrid high dynamic range optical receiver amplifier module in a SOT115AD package where the non-jacketed fibre has no connector. Two of the module pins are for connection t0 24 V (DC), one for amplifier supply voltage and the other for the photodiode bias. The module contains a monomode optical input suitable for wavelengths from 1290 t0 1600 nm, a terminal to monitor the photodiode current and an electrical output with an impedance of 75 I . The gain of the amplifier can be adjusted with one module pin.

The crosstalk phenomenon is due to the coupling between 2 lines. The coupling factor ( p12 0r p21 ) in- creases when the gap across lines decreases, particularly in silicon dice. In the example above the ex- pected signal on load RL2 is a.2VG2, in fact the real voltage at this point has got an extra value p21VGl. This part of the VGl signal represents the effect of the crosstalk phenomenon of the line l on the line 2. This phenomenon has to be taken into account when the drivers impose fast digital data or high frequency ana- log signals in the disturbing linei. The perturbed line will be more affected if it works with low voltage signal or high load impedance (few kl ).
