Chip Select (S). This input is used to select the ST95P04. The chip is selected by a high to low transition on the S pin when C is at '0' state. At any time, the chlp is deselected by a low to high transi- tion on the S pin when C is at '0' state. As soon as the chip is deselected, the Q pin is at high imped- ance state. This pin allows multiple ST95P04 to share the same SPI bus. After power_up, the chip is at the deselect state. Transitions ofS are ignored when C is at '1' state.
The next parameter which must be calculated is the maxi- mum allowable temperature rise, TR (max). This is calcu- lated by using the formula: TR (max) = Tj(max) - TA (max) where: Tj (max) is the maximum allowable junction tem- perature, which is 1250C for commercial grade parts. TA (max) is the maximum ambient temperature which will be encountered in the applica- tion.
